This course provides you with an exciting introduction into the world of sports coaching. The course will develop your knowledge on planning and delivering a variety of sports coaching sessions. You will deliver a number of fitness tests on clients to identify areas that need to improve which will have a huge positive impact on their overall sport performance. If clients suffer sports injuries or aches and pains, you will be able to put your new knowledge and skills to the test by carrying out sports massage sessions with individuals. To ensure energy levels are high during competitive games you will be able to advice and support individuals on the correct nutritional intake. This course is highly practical in nature and is an excellent start to a career in sport!

The majority of units are assessed through portfolio assignments, which are set and marked by your teachers.
One unit in Year 2 is set and marked externally by the exam board.
