Our college safeguarding team cover multiple issues to ensure students are kept safe and free from harm. Understandably, we cannot be with a student full time so we hope to empower students with knowledge and information to build resilience, as well as opening doors to access services outside of college to prepare them for independence.

We know that issues could arise during time with us and we need students to know that we are always here to help, advise and listen. As a college we want to ensure students get the right help at the right time.

Parents or carers, we ask that you be alert to any changes in your child and to ask questions if you are concerned. Staff are available to listen to your concerns to ensure we can provide the best possible support within the college.

Additional Information and Support

Here at TRC we are building relationships with external services to ensure our students get up to date information and should they choose, they can access independently for support outside of college. There will be regular changes around college with displays and leaflets as well as services from around the area coming in to discuss what they can offer as well as increasing awareness.

We will now have half term campaigns acknowledging various issues and raising awareness, this will include information being sent out to students, staff and parents / carers.

Shortly a directory of external services will be available in Student Services. Each service that attends college will also be added to keep up to date.

Click on the links below to find out more about some of the topics we will be covering. Students and parents / carers can access further information and support by following the links. Students are welcome to speak to staff in safeguarding if they need to discuss any issues further.
