Italian Evening Classes
Whether you fancy learning Italian for fun, holidays, work or simply out of interest for Italy, we have the right course for you.
ITALIAN BEGINNERS
This course is suitable for learners with very little or no prior knowledge of the language. Your tutor will introduce you to the language and assume no prior study.
You will study topics such as:
- Greetings; introducing yourself and other people
- Talking about yourself, your family, pets and friends
- Ordering drinks and food in a bar/restaurant
- Shopping for food, drinks, souvenirs and clothes
- Asking and answering simple questions
- Hometown and directions
Each topic will help you to increase your knowledge of vocabulary and expressions, through reading and listening exercises, role-plays and other pair work activities, pronunciation tasks, etc.
The course will also give you:
- An understanding of the Italian culture and some of the traditions in Italy.
- Confidence in dealing with basic situations when you are abroad.
ITALIAN IMPROVERS
This language course is for those learners who have attended a beginner’s class of our evening class programme or a beginner’s course elsewhere within the last year. It would also be suitable for those who have studied the language at school recently (at GCSE level) and need a refresher. Learners who studied the language a while ago but have not used it or practised it very much will potentially struggle with this course.
Enrolment guidance from one of our language tutors is strongly recommended if a learner wishes to study the language at this level.
You will study topics such as:
- Revision and Extension of Beginners topics
- House and hometown
- Daily Routines
- The time
- Leisure Activities
- The weather
- Future plans
The course will also help you develop:
- An understanding of the Italian culture and some of the traditions in Italy.
- Confidence in dealing with certain situations when you are abroad.
ITALIAN INTERMEDIATE
This language course is for those learners who have completed at least 2 years of our evening class programme (beginners and improvers level). It would also be suitable for those who completed a GCSE language course or equivalent not long ago at grade 6 or above.
Enrolment guidance from one of our language tutors is strongly advised if a learner wishes to study the language at this level.
You will study topics such as:
- Revision and Extension of Beginners & Intermediate level topics
- Your personal hobbies, interests and ambitions
- Past and future events
- Food and recipes
- Italian regions – differences and similarities
- Any other topic(s) agreed between the tutor and group
Each topic studied will help you to further increase your fluency and confidence when using Italian. You will learn more advanced grammatical structures in Italian and gain a wider knowledge of vocabulary.
ITALIAN ADVANCED
The focus of this course is on developing your language skills (speaking, reading, listening and writing) to a more advanced level after having completed at least 4 years of language study. The course will also allow you to revise and consolidate your knowledge of Italian grammar.

All classes start week beginning 5th October 2026 and run for 20 or 25 weeks.
Cost: £199 for 20 weeks or £230 for 25 weeks.
