What will I study?

The Award in Financial Education has been designed for people who are, or who will shortly be, reaching a life stage when they no longer depend on others for their financial provision.

Students will gain knowledge about the uses of money, the methods of organising their money through personal budgeting, the considered use of appropriate bank and building society accounts and the consequences of overspending.

Award in Financial Education Level 2 consists of 2 mandatory units:

Unit 1 – Finance, the Individual and Society (FIS)
Unit 2 – Practices of Managing Money (PMM)

Assessment

Unit 1 and Unit 2 are assessed by a paper-based examination.
Unit 1 – Finance, the Individual and Society (FIS)
Unit 1: 20 stand-alone multiple-choice questions and five sets of stimulus material each with three associated questions.
Unit 2 – Practices of Managing Money (PMM)
Unit 2: 15 stand-alone multiple-choice questions and five sets of stimulus material each with four associated questions.
