Digital Systems and Data V Level

Level: 3

Qualification: V Level Digital Systems and Data

Duration: 2 years

Equivalent to one A Level in terms of time and UCAS points value.

This course will develop learners into competent digital practitioners who can analyse data, secure systems, configure technology or create digital solutions while working responsibly, ethically and effectively with modern digital and AI-enabled technologies.

The course will provide students with a broad understanding of digital technologies, data, cyber security and digital solution design. Rather than preparing learners for a single job role, it develops the knowledge and skills needed for a range of progression routes in computing, IT, data and digital careers.

What will I study?

Students will learn to:

Analyse and use data to support decision making.

Apply cyber security protocols and identify threats.

Configure and test digital systems or design and create digital solutions.

Develop problem solving, critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills.

Understand ethical, secure, inclusive and sustainable digital practices.

2 Compulsory units:

WRP1: Data Analysis and Decision Making

WRP2: Cyber Security Monitoring and Response

2 Optional units

WRP3: System Configuration and Testing
