Art Award for talented student
Over the last couple of months, the Art, Graphics and Photography Department have been liaising with Sheffield Hallam University and submitting work for The Future Now Schools and Colleges Show 2023. This is a celebration of creative work made by young people in the Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster regions to form of a public exhibition.
We were allowed to submit only 10 pieces to be potentiality shortlisted and they were all accepted which is a great achievement.
On Friday 30th June, they hosted an awards evening and the work displayed around the room was fantastic, all submitted by various schools and college in South Yorkshire. The standard of the work was highly praised by all of the staff involved in the exhibition, in and outside of the University. Every student received a certificate by Future Now to congratulate them on the standard of their work.
We are also pleased to announce that out of 120 pieces that were shortlisted, 5 awards were given out and we received one of the awards!!

The Art and Design exhibition showcasing the work produced by secondary and post-16 school and college students is now open for the public to see in Sheffield, at the Post Gallery site near Ponds Forge.
