Former TRC Student Awarded the Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Bursary for Nursing
Thomas Rotherham College is honoured that Olivia Marriot has been awarded the Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Bursary for Nursing.
Olivia has just begun her studies in Adult Nursing at Sheffield Hallam University. Donna Brook – Head of Faculty for Health and Social Care – describes Olivia as “a motivated and determined learner who meets all deadlines to an exceptional standard. Liv has done lots of volunteer work in the community in numerous health and social care settings and raised the profile of TRC in the local area. Liv is reliable and will always go above and beyond to help her peers and the department – she will be an asset to the health and social care sector.”
The Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Bursary for Nursing is a £500 bursary which will support a TRC student during their first year of studying Nursing at a local University. Olivia is absolutely thrilled to receive this support “I look forward to a challenging but satisfying role in nursing where I can make a difference to people’s lives. I am optimistic about my future and believe that studying nursing will help me strive for excellence since I will become part of a profession that has helped so many people come back to full health”.
In the future Olivia hopes to specialise in intensive care nursing and we look forward to seeing her progress!
