We are delighted to announce that Thomas Rotherham College has received national recognition from the Sixth Form College Association (SCFA) Awards 2021. These unique awards celebrate and showcase outstanding practice in the 16 – 19 sector. The college has been recognised for ‘going above and beyond’ in supporting students, delivering high quality provision and following all guidance, in maintaining a COVID secure learning environment, throughout the pandemic.
All of the staff at Thomas Rotherham College have worked tremendously hard, and have been enormously successful, in providing outstanding provision to all students; both during the national lockdowns and through reintegration back into college. Through continued regular and purposeful contact with students and parents, our staff team have not only supported learning but have also been a strong source of positive well-being support. This award clearly indicates that our student support and tutor teams have been outstanding in the provision they have put in place.
Head of College, Joel Wirth said; ‘We are all extremely proud of all our staff and this award is a welcome recognition of the effort, resilience and support they have all shown, often going over, above and beyond their usual duties, to support their students, their colleagues and the wider community’.
